What is your favorite Confluence story?

I used to homebrew in Chicago a LONG time ago, but over time just got tired of trying to maintain the hobby while moving apartments every so often. So I gave everything to a friend, Josh M., who you may see has become the Production Manager here at Confluence. What if I had never donated my equipment?

Ted Turner (yes, that Ted Turner) bought my birthday drinks in February 2020 in Atlanta.

I was the #1 rated Train Gaming Board Game player in the world for one weekend.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

I can pretty much deep-fry anything.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

Being at Comiskey for the White Sox Home Opener

What does “craft beer” mean to you?

I believe beer is meant to be for everyone. It’s not pretentious, it’s not classist, it’s not exclusive. I also believe there’s more than just the same old thing you’re sold everywhere else in life. Craft beer is an expression of skill, art, and craft by a brewer or team of brewers. Often we share a beer to cheers towards a new chapter, enhance an experience, or simply settle in with friends after a long week. Craft brewers are artists sharing their passion and hardwork to be a part of those memories with you. It’s not just about money or marketing.
